The Ada Historical Society operates the Averill Historical Museum of Ada. The museum is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment (closed in January and February). The museum is located at 7144 Headley Street in Ada, Michigan.
The Averill Historical Museum of Ada contains a gift shop where people can purchase a number of items including: a woven afghan that depicts several older buildings in Ada, apparel, mugs, candles, books and stationery. There is no charge for admission, but donations are always welcomed.
The Averill Historic Museum is home to an outdoor summer concert series entitled, “Music on the Lawn” every Tuesday June through August, starting at 7 p.m. The concert series is free of charge, and patrons are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair for an evening under the stars. Performers range from folk, bluegrass, country, gospel, guitar soloists and Pop. Visit the Ada Township Calendar for artist information. All concerts are free of charge.
The Ada Historical Society meets the second Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Averill Historical Museum of Ada. Meetings are open to everyone, and we would like to have you come and join us.
